PRATT SLAM SUNDAY: TUPAC AMARU SHAKUR

Welcome to another Pratt Slam Sunday!

We all know Tupac the rapper but do you know Tupac Amaru Shakur the Poet? In 1999 his estate released a collection of poetry by the Brooklyn native. The book The Rose That Grew From Concrete features over 70 pieces written between 1989 and 1991. In the collection, he pens dedications to his love Jada Pinkett, revelations about his place in the world, and an open letter to those curious of his thoughts on his death in his pieceĀ In the Event of My Demise. Scroll down to read some of my highlights!
